Comfortable house with fully equipped kitchen, outside deck seating and grill. Enjoy the fire pit in the evening. There is a large, locked storage for bikes, kayaks and outdoor gear. This home is an excellent "base camp" for all of your outdoor adventures - close to DuPont State Forest, Pisgah National Forest and Bent Creek trails.

And within 7 minutes of Base Camp, you can be kayaking, tubing or canoeing on the most beautiful stretch of the French Broad River, with Lazy Otter Outfitters!

The Space

Base Camp is a great, small and cozy house for getting away to enjoy the outdoors. Accommodates 4-6 people. Rather than a destination home, consider this an excellent base camp - your perfect springboard to nearby outdoor activities. 

Minutes to grocery and restaurants. Great for couples, families or a trip with your pals. Very close to all the best mountain biking and hiking trails - DuPont, Pisgah, Bent Creek and Mills River. Base Camp is centrally located to dining, breweries and entertainment in Brevard, Asheville and Hendersonville. Located just 8 miles from downtown Hendersonville and within 30 minutes of Asheville, Brevard, Bent Creek, The Bike Farm in Pisgah Forest, The Gorge, ziplining and white water rafting adventures.

You have the entire house for your enjoyment and relaxation. Includes a barbecue grill on the deck, outdoor fire pit and large locked storage for bikes, kayaks, and outdoor gear. Please bring your own padlock for the storage area.

TV/cable, DVD player, wireless internet, central A/C and heat, washer/dryer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, coffee filters, Brita water filter pitcher and blender.

For personal care, all of these amenities are included: blow dryer, towels, bed linens, bath wash, hand soap, toilet paper, dishwashing soap, paper towels.

NOTE: Central A/C unit is enhanced with built-in dehumidifier and germicidal ultraviolet (UV) light that greatly reduces allergens, mold, bacteria and viruses from the recirculating air. 

Private driveway parking for 2-3 vehicles. Taxis and rental car services from Asheville Airport, located only 12 miles away. Local guidebooks, maps and detailed hiking guides are available for your use.

The Neighborhood

Base Camp is on a quiet cul-de-sac in a family neighborhood. Only 12 miles to DuPont Forest and 10 miles to Pisgah Forest entrance. 17 miles to Bent Creek. Visit the Bike Farm in Pisgah Forest - mecca for mountain bikers.

Check out Oskar Blues Brewery, Sierra Nevada Brewery and more. Even closer is Blue Ridge Pizza - restaurant and bar with great outdoor seating.  Public golf course only 2.5 miles away.
